FASHION COMPETITION IN DAR-ES-SALAAM

ABOUT 22 beauty ladies from five East African countries are expected to take part in a fashion competition slated for November 29, in Dar es Salaam this year, according to EAST African model search director and fashion designer Bonnah Kaluwa. Speaking to journalists in Dar es salaam this week, Kaluwa pointed out that there were a handful of beauties, who have great ambitions, but don't have enough financial capability. Kaluwa, who stayed in England for two years and worked with an agency company known as Millenium Odellin, said the competition would attract 22 beauty ladies from the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, and Rwanda. She clarified that, apart from Tanzania having ten representatives, the other countries would each send three competitors in the event, to be staged at Dar es Salaam's Diamond Jubilee Hall on November 29, this year. The fashion designer said that she decided to give a chance to beauties so that they could showcase their talent as top four winners would be selected by G. Company of England for a world fashion competition, which is to take place in Greece next year. The competition will be sponsored by various corporate firms such as Redds, Zain, TZ, TBC, PrecisionAir, Exel, Mwasu Fashion, Michuzi Blog and Clouds FM. During the event the beauties will showcase different creations by various fashion designers such AllyRemtulah, and many more others.
