People have been wondering how come Kagoda Agricultural Limited has not been taken to court in connection with the Bank of Tanzania (BoT) External Payment Arrears account (EPA) scam. Apart from Jeetu Patel, this firm is said to be the main culprit, having scooped Sh 40 billion out of Sh 90 billion. It is however revealed that owners of the firm, believed to have political muscles, are soon to be arraigned to join the 17 who are already charged. In fact they might be charged today. But spokesman of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Omega Ngole told the press yesterday: “I can’t say if and when more suspects are to appear in court. But anything can happen, so just stay alert.”
