There appears to be more and more celebrity death hoaxes popping up on the internet nowadays, and singer Bobby Brown – also ex-husband of pop diva Whitney Houston – is the latest celebrity to fall victim to the famous celebrity death hoax/rumors.

According to a recent article at providingnews.com, many websites have claimed that Bobby Brown had died of lung cancer, at the age of 41. However, we can now tell you that the rumors are definitely untrue and the “My Prerogative” singer is very much alive.

The rumor surrounding Brown’s death apparently surfaced on microblogging website Twitter, where it appears a lot of rumors take shape these days. For a fair few hours now, people have been searching the Internet to see if there was any truth behind the story.

Bobby is currently on tour with his band Heads of State, which includes Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill. According to their MySpace page, their last show was on April 24th, and their next is to be the 2010 Funk Fest in Jacksonville on May 7th.
