Actress Jennifer Hudson is offering a $100,000 reward for the return of her nephew who vanished after her mother and brother were shot dead.
Police and the FBI are searching for clues to the whereabouts of seven-year-old Julian King - the son of Hudson's sister Julia.
The boy went missing on Friday when the bodies of his grandmother Darnell Donerson, 59, and 29-year-old uncle, Jason Hudson, were found in their Chicago home.
Hollywood star and singer Hudson offered the reward late on yesterday.
Post-mortems showed the murder victims died from multiple gunshot wounds, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
The actress identified the bodies of her mother and brother shortly after jetting back to her hometown from Florida, the Chicago Sun-Times said.
Hudson's performance in Dreamgirls earned her an Oscarfor best supporting actress in 2007.
She had been in Florida promoting her latest movie, The Secret Lives of Bees, when she was informed of the killings, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The police initially identified William Balfour, the estranged husband of sister Julia, and step-father of Julian King, as a suspect in the case.
