KENYAN MISS WORLD RETURNS HOME

Reigning Miss World Kenya jetted back into the country on Monday after what can be termed a successful trip to China for the 62nd edition of the Miss World  beauty pageant.

Shamin Nabil made it to the top 15 finalist hence clinching the first runners up position as Miss Africa.

Shamin hopes that as a beauty queen, she will “join hands in fighting the on going battle against drug and substance abuse,” adding, “I cannot believe that children at the age of 14 years are hooked on drugs. I will work with the government, NGO’s, media and other organisations so as to raise enough funds in order to be able to treat the victims at a low fee or free of charge, as most of them live below the poverty line.”
