A man has been arrested over a carjacking which left a mother fighting for her life in hospital.
Caroline Johnson, 46,(right) was knocked over when a thief stole her car as she scraped ice off the windscreen.
The mum was dragged up to 60ft underneath her own vehicle and she was left lying in the road close to her home in Humber Way, Langley, Berkshire.
Police described Mrs Johnson's injuries as among the most horrific they had seen.
Thames Valley Police said they arrested the man in Mallard Drive, Cippenham, Slough, on suspicion of attempted murder.
Mrs Johnson was preparing to take her son to school last Tuesday when a man jumped behind the wheel of her Citroen Picasso as she cleared frost from the glass.
She suffered serious internal damage and injuries to her arms and legs. She is still in a critical condition at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.
